Volunteering At The Swap

My sister Marissa Chapman and I, had a great time last month volunteering with Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap. This is a fantastic organization that has a mission to provide access to educational materials for teachers and students. The average teacher spends between $600-$1,000 of their own money on supplies, and school budgets are only decreasing as time goes on. Budget cuts are especially troublesome in lower-income neighborhoods, where parents might not have enough money to pay for school supplies. Students sometimes walk into school at a disadvantage because they do not have the learning tools they need.

This is where Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap comes in! Tons of supplies and materials for free to assist teachers not only in Baltimore, but also open to teachers nationwide. I love the mission and vision of the Swap and the staff was extremely down to earth. Please check them out at https://lnkd.in/evm9dtk. Anything involving Education, I am happy to assist with. I look forward to volunteering again with them soon!
